DATAFILES



When selecting and Excel file to download, it opens the Excel file in your web browser.

  1. You need to change the File Type settings on your computer.
  2. Double click on My Computer
  3. On the menu bar, select, Tools, Folder Options
  4. Select the tab File Types
  5. Locate XLS
  6. Select Advanced
  7. Ensure you have the below options selected

When I click on the Excel file to download, nothing happens…

  1. Check to see if your Internet Explorer Information bar is showing at the top of your screen
  2. The Information bar is the place where Internet Explorer displays information about security,
    downloads, blocked pop-up windows, and other activities. It is located at the top of the
    webpage
  3. When you click on the Excel file and you get the above message, click on the message at the top of the screen and
    select “Download File

GRAPHICS & MENU




Graphics are not showing on the website

  1. Refresh the webpage by pressing F5
  2. Refresh the cache by pressing Ctrl + F5

When I click on the Menu, the drop down Menu's don't appear

  1. The Academy is optimised for Internet Explorer 7
  2. Please ensure you upgrade your Internet Explorer to version 7

ASSESSMENTS



Can I see the answers to my questions for the Assessment?

  1. Yes, once you have answered all the questions and select SUBMIT ALL AND FINISH the page will come up,
    showing if you were Correct/Incorrect


CERTIFICATES



When I try and download my certificate, it says it can’t download.

  1. If you are having problems downloading your certificate, it could be due to the fact that you
    don’t have Internet Explorer 7
  2. Please upgrade to IE 7 (you can use the link) or if you don’t
    want to upgrade, when downloading your certificate, select SAVE and save it on your desktop

PASSWORDS



What happens if you have lost your password?

  1. On the Home page of the Academy, under the Login button, there is a link “Lost Password
  2. Select the link, enter in the necessary details
  3. Your password will be emailed to you

How do you change your password?

  1. Login using your existing username and password
  2. Select your profile buy selecting your name on the top right corner of the screen
  3. Select the Heading tab Profile
  4. Select Change Password
  5. Enter in the current password e.g. alchemex
  6. Enter in the new password twice
  7. Select Save Changes
  8. Logout and then Login with the new password
